Summer Madness

Some people tend to reduce their workload during the summer months. In certain countries such as Italy, whole industries close down completely!

I did manage to grab a few days off but this summer has been one of the busiest periods I've faced.

This is because, along with my colleague Katie Glen, I've been rolling out 2 x new programmes to give Hypnotherapists the tools required to develop their own businesses further, thus helping more people and changing more lives.


1. The Educational Performance Practitioner (EPP)

Over the last 3 years I’ve been working in schools and other educational organisations, and its work that’s really worthwhile, enjoyable, boosts your local profile and pays well.  At the beginning of the summer I decided to share and train my tried, tested and proven ‘Educational Performance’ programme with other therapists in order to help them get Hypnotherapy into Schools, Colleges and Universities.

We had a lot of fun and the feedback I've since received has been really positive.


2. My Top 40 Ways to Fill your Business Diary

Following on from the success of the EPP, more Hypnotherapists were asking me how they could maximise their own earnings potential. Therefore I've also been running a special online course sharing tips and advice from my own experience on how to build and sustain a successful therapy practice.

Keynote Speaker at Canadian Hypnosis Conference

Hi All,

New course dates have now been added to my website, however if you haven't had a chance to have a look don't worry I've included them below.

Our accredited courses commence week commencing 17^th February, and places are already filling up fast. This year we are offering both intensive courses, where you attend one week a month for three months, and a 10 month course where you attend one weekend a month for ten months. Our course is unique in that it really is ‘business in a box’, not only do you become a fully accredited Clinical Hypnotherapist, we also teach you the business skills to set up your practice, from websites to marketing. All our Hypnotherapy training courses are held at The Holiday Inn, Hull Marina, Hull.

"It's going to be a life changing experience"

What is the aim of Lifestyle Engineering?

To improve lifestyles by changing the thought processes that creates barriers to health and well-being; to help individuals achieve their goals and lead better lives through unique education, mind management and relaxation techniques, professionally tailored to meet the needs of the client. 

The Lifestyle Engineering courses are drawing closer in North America so I've been very busy this week packing my bags. Recently I have been working hard at expanding my Lifestyle Engineering courses out of the UK. By branching out to the US, I am able to teach these skills to a larger amount of people.

I will be spending the first few days after arriving to America in Michigan where the first of the three courses will take place. I will then be travelling to Detroit then to North Carolina. The five-day Lifestyle Engineering module will be taking place in each state.

My Hypnotherapy Course Branches Across Seas

Throughout the years I have been teaching others about The Virtual Gastric Band by holding training courses around the world. During these days training I help other practitioners learn and understand the use of the VGB and how it can be successful in their training.  Recently I was delighted to hear that one of the practitioners who attended my class flew all the way from India just to take my course.

A lot of people are interested in hypnotherapy these days and this has resulted in more people wishing to not only understand the theory behind how Clinical Hypnotherapy works but also having a desire to become Hypnotherapists themselves.

The Virtual Gastric Band is a remarkable weight loss programme, and one which I have pioneered in the UK. As the name suggests, the system utilises the concept of a “virtual” gastric band and clinical hypnotherapy. Train to be a Hypnotherapist

Having worked as an investigator with the Department for Work and Pensions for 25 years and ready for a new challenge, I eventually became interested in the ‘mind and body’ connection following a personal illness that proved to be one of life's turning points..

What started out as a hobby quickly became a viable business and I am now furtunate to be based in a GP surgery.

Having delivered workshops both in the UK and on an International scale (teaching the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma and the Virtual Gastric Band workshop) I've met people from all walks of life. Many travel to the clinic from all over the UK, with most referrals received via word-of-mouth and local GPs.

I really believe that Hypnotherapy can make a positive difference to all of our lives and that's why I want to share knowledge of what I have learnt; understanding and enthusiasm for ‘making a difference’ with others who may also have the desire to do the same and help others or indeed to help themselves.

Therefore I'm running some training courses (fully validated by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council) to enable as many people as possible to train to be a Clinical Hypnotherapist.
