With warm weather comes creepie-crawlies which leaves many people cowering in terror. Arachnophobia is one of the most common phobias affecting more than 50% of women and over 10% of men. Nobody is born with this fear, it could be passed down from parent to child or could even be an effect of film or television. Once the fear is manifested it can affect your life on a huge scale. It can affect where you live, work and how peacefully you sleep. However, hypnosis can help cure you of your fears.

Hypnosis For Bed Wetting
For those with children having extreme problems with Bed Wetting Hypnosis can help. In the vast majority of cases of child bed wetting, the bed wetting occurs due to the fact that the child is sleeping too soundly and is not responding to the signals that their bodies are sending them. This results in the child urinating in their sleep. This can cause a significant amount of problems for parents, as the bed and linen needs frequently cleaned. In addition to this, children may undergo temperament changes due to extreme lowering of their self-esteem. As this is a very trying time for your child, it is really important that you take great care to ensure that they do not fall into depressions or lose their ability to interact in social circles.
One of the benefits of using bed wetting is that the difference can be seen virtually immediately. However, when you use hypnosis, you must still partner it with techniques aimed at permanently solving the problem. Use bed wetting alarms, plastic sheets, and diapers to ensure that there are limited messes during the transition process. In addition to this, positive reinforcement can help restore lost self-esteem as well as encourage future good behavior.
One downside to bed wetting hypnosis is that the hypnosis techniques typically need renewed after a period of time. It is not meant as a permanent solution to the problem, but a quick fix that provides parents time to work better habits into their child. This is why partnering bed wetting hypnosis with other techniques is so important.
If you have a child over the age of five that wets the bed, you should take them to see a doctor. While most occurrences of bed wetting are just a part of slow development and deep sleep patterns, there may be other underlying issues that need to be addressed. Because of this, should your child’s bed wetting continue even after hypnosis, it is vital that you go seek the aid of a doctor immediately. Hypnosis is able to assist with behavioral problems, but it cannot do anything against other issues such as liver or kidney problems or diseases such as Lupus. It is your responsibility as a parent to ensure that your child is healthy while you are breaking any bed wetting habits that are behavioral in nature.
If bed wetting persists and hypnosis is not effective, you may wish to have your doctor prescribe medication to help resolve the problem. However, medicines should be used as a last resort as they can cause unpleasant side effects.
If you or your child has a problem with bed wetting then please contact me for a free half-hour consultation.

History of Hypnosis
Contrary to what many people think, the history of hypnosis dates back a long time in history. In fact historical references point out to hypnosis being part of ancient cultures in places such as Egypt. There are many historical references which point to the ritual of inducing a hypnotic trance which has been part of the Egyptian as well as many other societies since ancient times.
The history of hypnosis is full of interesting developments over a long period of time. For instance you can find that during the 16th century hypnosis was used for controlling unruly farm animals. Then there are instances of many travel shows trying to draw crowds using hypnosis during the 16th and 17th centuries. Many farmers were to known to use hypnosis in order to control chickens which were used for either slaughtering or farming purposes. Hypnosis has known to be an integral part of many religions around the world throughout the history.

Hypnosis & The Wizard of Oz
Hypnotherapists have used the story of "The Wizard of Oz" to put kids into hypnosis. The following is taken from CNN.com. Click here to read the article in full.
When some 8-to-13-year-old children weren't responding to traditional cognitive-behavioral therapy, hypnotherapists in Montana developed an individualized hypnotic treatment based on metaphors found in Dorothy's adventures. According to a study in the American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis, to induce hypnosis the therapists suggestively told the children:
"In the Wizard of Oz, the Straw Man wanted brains, the Tin Man wanted a heart, the Lion wanted courage, and Dorothy wanted to take Toto and go home to Kansas. They wanted these things very badly. So, they went to the Wizard for help. At first the Wizard seemed bothered. He called himself the 'great and powerful Oz' and sent them away. Later, he sent them out to bring back the witch's broom. When the Straw Man, Tin Man, Lion, Dorothy, and Toto returned with the broom, they were surprised with their own success. They discovered that the Wizard was just a regular man and wasn't really a Wizard after all. They also discovered that they already had brains, a heart, and courage. Then, the Wizard gave them each something to show they were smart, loving, and brave. And Dorothy discovered she had within herself, the power to get her and Toto back to Kansas."
After hypnosis, by applying the metaphors, the children were more capable of defining their goals and realizing they already had within them some of the things they thought they were missing.

Another Reason to Quit Smoking
Research has established that there is a link between smoking and depression.
New research indicates that the most popular forms of hypnotherapy could have a two-fold effect for many people. Stop smoking hypnotherapy sessions could reduce the role of nicotine addiction in depressive symptoms, whilst stress or anxiety hypnotherapy could help resolve existing mental health problems.

Hypnotherapy for Motivation
Motivation is the key to positivity in our lives. If we were not motivated enough, we would just not have the will in us to go about our daily lives. Its motivation that helps us get through the most mundane things – motivation for working harder, motivation to have a healthy relationship, motivation to earn more, motivation to have a happy family. And yet sometimes we find ourselves lacking in motivation; I think we have all had days when getting out of bed to get ready to go to work seemed like a Herculean task. Sometimes lack of motivation can really bring people down, and hinder their efficiency and ability. This may lead to frustrations and further breakdown of communication between people. However, if you intercept this lack of motivation timely, you have help at hand. Go for hypnotherapy for motivation to get the zest in life back.

Quit Smoking this Fathers Day
If you are a smoker and a dad. Then use this fathers day as an excuse for doing the best possible thing that a smoking dad can do - QUIT!
Here are five reasons why you should quit smoking this fathers day.
1. You want better health and probably do not want to die prematurely as a result of smoking as it is usually the case. Nothing is so bitter than to die in your middle age.
2. You don't want to become a statistic, like many smokers do after contracting; coronary heart disease, chronic disruptive lung disease –emphysema and bronchitis – and lung cancer. There is nothing so thrilling than to having the energy to go about your activities and being able to make your breathing easier.
According to analysis, after quitting smoking, your lungs regain their vitality –they work up to 10% more efficiently. So what kind of sane person would wants to pump into the body a poisonous gas that connects with red blood cells that will not permit them carry more oxygen?
3. You want to smell nice. Nothing is more disgusting than the smell of tobacco smoke on clothes and skin. This could even cost you a job.
4. You want to be wealthy. Some former smokers I know told me that they were fed up losing their money on a product that will eventually ruin their lives.
Make a quick calculation yourself and you will know how much you are spending per annum on cigarettes at current retail prices. Think of the things you could buy with the money, a holiday? A car?
5. If you don't care about your health then think about how much your children love you and how much other people care about your health.
If you want to quit smoking then maybe hypnosis could help. Please contact me for a free half-hour consultation.

Hypnosis for Children
As your children grow, they will surely experience challenges that may be difficult for them to handle although they will still go ahead and face these without your knowing. If you are not so keen in learning about this, you may just simply think that your kids have turned against you as they show exhibit signs of such difficulties. Just like any loving parent, you may want to help them through such periods and, in this case, hypnosis may be a good method to try.
Being such a novel method for you, you do have reasons to be apprehensive about it. You may even think that you would rather tolerate your kid’s attitude instead. Kids can be this unpleasant because of certain environmental factors inside and outside the home. The challenge though is how to learn of these factors straight from your child’s mouth. Remember, as your child grows more and more influences can be absorbed by him and these are not all your fault.
If you do know how to apply hypnosis, you can employ some means of calming your child and train him without getting stressed yourself. You may think this is totally novel but many parents are actually employing these means. In fact, they have used hypnosis in the various stages of the child’s growth. These include the times when they are in school and are struggling with their grades. With hypnosis, you can help them perform better in school while avoiding negative influences.
More and more doctors have also attested that hypnosis can be used as a form of therapy for children with health issues. They claim that hypnosis can be used as a treatment method alternative to the usual medical solutions that may be traumatic and too painful for the child. It is not just health problems that hypnosis helps to solve. Psychiatrists concur that hypnosis can be practiced on kids suffering serious emotional problems. Some psychiatrists actually perform this on their child patients. These are proofs how beneficial hypnosis is.
It is obvious that hypnosis is good not only for adults but for children. It is even said that hypnosis work more effectively on kids. The reason behind this is that kids can easily detach themselves from reality. However, if there are adults around who distract them then this may not work at all. That is why, as a parent, you should be able to provide your kids with favorable conditions for hypnosis.

Celebrities and Hypnosis
I am pleased to report that even more celebrities are endorsing the benefits of hypnotherapy.
Celebrities including Drew Barrymore, Ellen DeGeneres, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have all admitted to using hypnosis to help kick the smoking habit.
Ben Affleck (pictured above) spoke about his experience with hypnosis on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
"I finally decided to quit smoking when I found out I was going to have a child. That was the thing that sort of put it over the top for me. I decided to go to a hypnotist. You sit in a chair and the hypnotist sips water and just talks to you for an hour, and explains how nicotine is poison."
"All of a sudden, I thought, 'This is asinine that I've been doing this to myself for all these years.' My last cigarette was on November 10th, 2005, and I feel a huge difference in my health now that I don't smoke. I feel like I'm in better shape than I was five years ago."
