NHS Scheme Could Reward Weight Loss Hypnotherapy

I'm not certain on the accuracy of this article but if it's findings are true then it is truly great news that the NHS are considering hypnotherapy seriously as a means of tackling the obesity epidemic. The following is taken from the article by William Hobson...

After the success of several schemes in the NHS trusts across England and Wales, NICE is considering offering obese people financial rewards for successful Weight Loss Hypnotherapy

treatments to lose weight could effectively be paid for by their final results if the proposals go through, particularly if such a programme follows the example of one pilot project in Kent which paid people up to £425 to shift their excess weight.

Advocates of the scheme at NICE say that by encouraging lifestyle changes through financial incentives, the NHS can save money in the long run. They claim that there would be significant savings by removing the root causes of lifestyle related health problems before they develop into costly medical conditions.

Let's hope this catches on nationwide. It's great news for the Virtual Gastric Band.
